My only issue and its a small one is that the lobby coffee ran out and not replaced the first morning, and luke warm the second.

i requested early check-in, and the room was ready late, instead. The sink was backed up and would not drain, so I was using the shower to wash my hands and brush my teeth.

Mar Monte might be able to prosper on simply “location, location, location”. But it does have another important factor in its favor: all the staff seem reasonably happy and friendly and willing to help. If they ever become sullen and unfriendly, perhaps even location won’t be able to keep the Mar Monte in business.

Fantastic from start to finish!!! Jackie, Ella, Dido, Nick at the front desk were outstanding. Holden and his entire staff at the valet desk were superb, prompt and very professional. We will be back!!!!

The Travelzoo voucher mentioned free wine tasting, we asked the hotel staff and they said they no longer provide free wine tasting. Travelzoo please update as this is misleading information.
