Wonderful place to relax, ride box and walk the grounds. History and wildlife are abundant. They’re not a lot of restaurants on the island. There are not a lot of family activities if you like to go go go. But if you’re looking for a place to relax, this is a good one.

The resort is part of the history of our nation, early 20th century. The grounds are magnificent. All located in the historic district. Lots of walking paths with beautiful vistas. The resort has bikes to rent, at reasonable prices. The island has 18 miles of bike/walking trails. Wonderful sunsets to see from the resort grounds too.

We have been to this site several times and we’re excited to get a discounted rate through Travelzoo. The staff, food and atmosphere were consistently amazing. However, we did not have the same quality room that we stayed in when we booked directly through the hotel website. Our room was very cozy and we enjoyed it. I am not complaining at all, just noting the difference in room quality.

Couple and solo adult. Celebrating our daughter's birthday. Hotel provided a bottle of wine (bubbly) in her room. Very nice touch. Property is outstanding, with plenty to do on Jekyl Island. Our. daughter loved it!

We loved the landscape and the bicycling around the island; the trolley tour was excellent. Our disappointment was with the unfriendly service (although bellhops were great as was one front-desk person). The room was well appointed except for the tiny garbage can (as they didn't service the room until the fourth day when we were leaving and additional coffee pods weren't provided for each morning). We weren't told in advance that the room we stayed in required us walking a steep flight of stairs after taking a slow elevator. We thought to request a new room but didn't. Also, there was little variety of food choices -- plus the Grand Dining Room while open for dinner to groups coming in (such as Road Scholar) was only open for buffet breakfast to guests of the hotel.

Loved the history of Jekyll Island. The hotel staff was very courteous and friendly. We were on our way home from Florida and this was a great diversion.

We had an exceptional stay at the Jekyll Island Club Hotel. It is the central building of the historic district and there is much to see in the area. It is like "stepping back in time", the elegance of times past.

Service. And availability. And cost. No towel or linen service until after 4 days. I had to take out the trash. One morning I waited 25 min for a latte at the cafe The beautiful dining room is not open for lunch or dinner. Additional costs were ridiculous. You quoted $169/ nite. Add $40 per night for no service( see above). Actual cost was $250/night
