About the Hotel
Why We Love This Hotel
- The hotel is close to the historic centre of Florence, and is a great base from which to explore the city on foot
- Florence Cathedral and the Uffizi Gallery are 15 minutes' walk from the hotel
- Tuscan specialities are served in the hotel's restaurant
This city-centre hotel is ideally located for exploring Florence's cultural highlights, with many of its principal sights within easy walking distance.
Piazza Santa Maria Novella -- where you'll find the Museo Novecento, which is dedicated to 20th-century Italian art -- is five minutes' walk from the hotel. Also on the piazza is the basilica of Santa Maria Novella, which has a striking green and white marble facade.
The Uffizi Gallery -- which contains masterpieces by artists including Piero della Francesca, Botticelli and Caravaggio -- is around a 15-minute walk from the hotel, as is Florence Cathedral (Duomo), which is famous for its enormous dome. Via Tornabuoni, with its upmarket boutiques -- think Gucci, Prada and Bulgari -- is a big draw for shoppers and is a little over five minutes' walk from the hotel.
There are plenty of places to enjoy a drink or a bite to eat nearby, and the hotel's own Opera Restaurant serves a seasonal menu of Italian dishes with an emphasis on traditional Tuscan specialities. The bar serves fresh coffee, cocktails and wine, plus there's an outdoor seating area.
Bedrooms are classically decorated with warm terracotta tones and dark wood. Some have views across the city's tiled rooftops. Wi-Fi is free.
We recommend a Firenze Card -- for 72€, it gets you skip-the-line entry to 72 attractions in Florence, including the Duomo and the Uffizi, for 72 hours.
