This boutique hotel is in the heart of historic Rome, just moments from Piazzi di Spagna and the Spanish Steps. Interiors are characterised by imaginative design and quirky features -- one room even has a sparkling red mosaic-covered bathtub that's shaped like a high-heeled shoe.
The hotel is in a historic building that's tucked down a side street just 350 metres from Spagna Metro station. The reception desk, which is open around the clock, is on the fourth floor, and all floors are accessible via a small lift.
The hotel's central location makes it a good base for exploring city sights and attractions on foot. The Pantheon, which is one of Rome's best preserved ancient monuments, is around a kilometre from the hotel, and the Trevi Fountain is just 550 metres away. The hotel is also popular with visitors who want to hit the shops -- it's in an area that's known for its excellent shopping, from well-known high-street stores to chic designer boutiques.
Rooms are individually decorated in the hotel's trademark quirky style. Each is unique and they vary in terms of décor and facilities. Standard rooms have air conditioning and soundproofing to ensure a comfortable night's sleep. One of the Deluxe rooms has a balcony overlooking Via Frattina, while another has its own sauna. Some have hardwood parquet floors, while others are decorated with mosaic details. Several rooms feature 19th-centrury ceiling frescoes. There's a luxurious one-bedroom apartment as well as a choice of suites, one of which (the Presidential Suite, situated in a separate building), has views of the Spanish Steps.
