This 87-bedroom modern hotel is situated just a couple of minutes from Derby railway station, making it a convenient base for exploring both the city and popular nearby attractions. There are plenty of places to shop and eat near the hotel -- Intu Derby, the city's large indoor shopping complex, which has a cinema and many popular eateries, is less than half a mile away. The independent shops, cafés and galleries of the Cathedral Quarter are within around a mile of the hotel too.
Further afield, Alton Towers is 24 miles from the hotel, and 17th-century Bolsover Castle, which has far-reaching views across the Derbyshire countryside, is just 28 miles away. Calke Abbey, a Grade I-listed country house that is now a National Trust property, is 10 miles away.
The breakfast buffet is served in the hotel's breakfast room, and while the hotel doesn't have its own on-site restaurant, there are plenty of places to eat nearby. The hotel's bar serves drinks from 3pm. Guests are also welcome to use the restaurant of the Hallmark Hotel Derby Midland, which is just a few moments away. Its restaurant serves a brasserie-style menu of international favourites.
Rooms have free Wi-Fi and are decorated with a colour scheme of cream and neutrals accented with bolder colours. In addition to the standard double and twin rooms, there are 24 family rooms which can accommodate two adults and two children.
