Overview

The upscale Hotel Zamora sits on the Gulf Coast of Florida in St. Pete Beach. Featuring the Romanesque architecture of its namesake Spanish province, archways of the hotel’s white-washed exterior reveal wrought-iron balconies of suites looking out at the Gulf of Mexico or Intracoastal Waterway. All rooms have complimentary Wi-Fi and two queens or one king bed. For more space, guests can upgrade to suites including living rooms with sofa beds.

The lagoon pool is partially shaded by a wide terrace above, surrounded by cantaloupe chaise lounges and complimented with an outdoor whirlpool tub. Steps from the pool, guests can stroll to the beach or dock at the seven-slip marina.

Visitors can dine on Mediterranean cuisine at Castile, the property’s modern seaside grill with oceanfront terrace. While 360 Rooftop is the ideal spot to enjoy a sunset cocktail with panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico and Intercoastal Waterway.

Location is good, staff was friendly (when you can find them)

Not as advertised, definitely not new, no robes, walls showed abuse, towel hook not attached but jest sitting in a drywall hole, chair badly worn, pool towels only if you can catch the worker when he was actually around, but if you don’t wait, you have to find an employee to give you back your checkout paper so they don’t charge you $25. Prices for drinks were 5 Star accommodations, but they are not. Beds very hard, asked for no feather pillows, even confirmed at check in due to allergies, but still found 1 in our room. Although friendly staff, the building inside needs some TLC. Glad I only paid a discount price.

Valets were great and had great info about restaurant a etc.
Other Comments
One restaurant only open for dinner. To get lunch you have to go to the pool (which was down two elevators and across the parking garage) where no one was wearing a mask. No coffee in the morning.

Due to COVID, not a lot of interactions with staff but the few we had were great. Nice people in a nice place where you can enjoy an intracoastal view from the pool or take a walk to the beach.

Hotel is nice but there’s nothing around it. You need to drive everywhere. Their restaurant was only open from 5 pm to 9 pm, they said because of COVID19. The pool bar has very limited food options.
Other Comments
Given it’s location and limited food choices I cannot recommend the hotel. However the low Travelzoo price made it somewhat worthwhile.

One of my favorite things about Hotel Zamora is the location. It's on the bay side (great for a sunrise), but is across the street from beach access. I stayed here 3 nights using a Travelzoo discount voucher (which gave me nearly half off my stay and made it VERY worthwhile). If you want to see a room tour, I've made this quick video: https://youtu.be/0XdJeszVhZg The things I LOVED about Hotel Zamora: *The LOCATION. It's also just 15 mins from downtown and 15 mins to Fort De Soto beach *It's nice there is a pool that is half covered (shade) and it has a bar with some food items. It's not the biggest pool, but it's nice to have access to hangout there *Option to ride bikes, rent kayaks from them What could have BEEN BETTER: *It's not a place to dine at the restaurant (bad reviews) or hang out in the hotel lobby (very small) *The rooftop looks AWESOME, but it currently has very limited hours and is only open weather permitting, so I never got a chance to go *Rooms are comfortable, but dated. I wouldn't call them modern and new, but they are comfortable and adequate *It's valet parking ONLY which means if you were constantly in and out like I was.. bring a wholllllle lotta dolla dolla bills ya'll *Service was hit or miss, but Luis at the front desk was the best. Overall? If it's the right price for you, I'd give it a go. At normal prices, I might reconsider and stay elsewhere, but for my stay, it was perfect!
