Dolce La Hulpe Brussels
About the Hotel
Why We Love This Hotel
- Set in the heart of the historic Sonian Forest
- Just 20 minutes from Brussels & a short drive from the airport
- Lovely forest views from the bedrooms
- Free Wi-Fi & access to the luxurious spa
Proximity to the airport, a tranquil forest setting and a luxurious spa are the big draws of this modern hotel. Brussels is a 20-minute drive away, and the immediate area has 178 acres of walking trails through the forest to explore, and a great selection of golf courses.
Business travelers are also well catered for. Befitting a building that was formerly an IBM training facility, the hotel’s business facilities are excellent, and there’s a dedicated team of support staff in the business center.
Expect generously sized rooms with free Wi-Fi, coffee- and tea-making facilities, rain showers and views of the forest through floor-to-ceiling windows. Upgrade to the Sequoia Suite for a separate living and dining room, an office and a separate soaking tub and shower in the bathroom, which overlooks the beech and oak trees of the ancient Sonian Forest.
Undoubtedly a highlight, the expansive Spa Cinq Mondes benefits from the 10 years its founder spent traveling the world. The result is a treatment menu that incorporates ancestral massages practiced in Bali, India, Brazil, Japan and Polynesia. There’s also a fitness center, a heated pool and two outdoor tennis courts on site.
Of the hotel’s two restaurants, Argan is open for buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a relaxed atmosphere. The newer Brasserie 135 is more formal, with dishes such as lobster jelly, beef tenderloin with Jerusalem artichokes and thyme, and chocolate fondant and almond milk ice cream on the menu. Making a reservation is recommended -- there are few other fine dining options nearby.
