The Break, Narragansett’s first boutique hotel, opened in June 2015. The vintage-inspired design incorporates bold turquoise accents, a 400-gallon saltwater fish tank and nostalgic surfer vibes, a perfect fit within the local, laid-back beach culture. Located just one block from the shoreline, the hotel is walking distance to the Port of Galilee and Point Judith Lighthouse.

The 16 suites and rooms, most with private balconies, include luxe amenities like heated bathroom floors, fireplaces, iPads, Apple TVs and free Wi-Fi. Guests are treated to a smorgasbord of sweet and savory small plates along with homemade baked goods each morning. After breakfast, visitors can settle into the sand with complimentary beach bags and chairs, take a discounted Surfset class near the heated pool, or add some preppy New England style to their suitcase with a guest-exclusive discount to Vineyard Vines.

Chair 5, the on-site restaurant, is named for a lifeguard post and locals’ gathering spot. The chef's signature dishes reflect his heritage, serving New England cuisine with an Asian twist. The menu is also available in the rooftop lounge, paired with craft beers, artisan cocktails and views of the ocean.

Enjoyed Most: The room was fabulous, breakfast superb and the staff was excellent! Only negative was that we were on the second floor and could really hear a lot of what was going on above us.

Enjoyed Most: Everything!! from the location to the coffee nothing needs improvement here!
Other Comments: This hotel is gorgeous. It looks like Martha Stewart stopped by to consult on the decor. The chef is magnificent the flavors incredible. If any food allergies beware many unusual spices and herbs used, so ask before ordering. The wait staff is very knowledgeable.. The dinner selections were great. The breakfast small plates was one delight after another. Must go to 4th floor bar has outside deck you can watch tankers in the shipping lane, they even provide the binoculars. There is so much attention to detail. Room, pillows, furnishings were all gorgeous. Bathroom floors heated, Pique robes in the closet. Small fireplace in room. Deck off room. The pool is heated but was closed one of our days for apron maintenance. The pix-elated mosaic wall is worth noting at the pool. Take you time to enjoy everything. Aunt Carries and Ziggy's are within walking distance if you want something other than their menu. Lobster roll was excellent at The Break. Music on Friday night.

Enjoyed Most: Everything. Heated pool. Luxury linens. Location.
Ellen Apr 20, 2016 East Bridgewater, MA, United States
Enjoyed Most: The suite and view, breakfast.
Other Comments: The reception should have offered me the coupon for the $10 dining/beverage credit without my having to ask for before I went to my room. If that is not already made clear to hotels, it might be nice if it was. I remember having a similar experience at a Mexican resort through TravelZoo a number of years back. Thank you! Peter Halpern
