The hotel is well connected for sightseeing -- Deroystrasse tram stop is less than a block away and Hackerbruke S-Bahn station is just around the corner. The tram will take you into the city centre in less than 10 minutes, while the S-Bahn takes less than five minutes to reach Marienplatz. The Theresienwiese Oktoberfest venue is a 15-minute walk, making this a great base during the world-renowned beer festival.
Up on the fifth floor, you’ll find a small indoor pool with an integrated Jacuzzi, as well as a sauna and tiny gym (open 7am-11pm). In the morning, fill up on a good range of breads, cereals, cured meats and cheeses at the breakfast buffet (6:30-10:30am Monday-Friday, 7-11am Saturday-Sunday). The Restaurant Red is also open for dinner (Monday-Friday) and there’s a sexy, little lobby bar.
The rooms are airy and have wooden floors, floor-to-ceiling windows (with pleasant views from the higher floors) and over-sized beds. Bathrooms here aren’t for the prudish -- a coloured glass wall separates them from the sleeping quarters, although toilets are separate. Pick a room to the rear for a quieter night, as the tram line runs along the front of the hotel. The Junior Suites and Apartments offer more space and a separate living room. Free Wi-Fi access is available with a code (one per room, ask at reception).
