Sandos Finisterra Los Cabos
Why We Love This Hotel
- One of Cabo's original all-inclusives, this well-located mega-resort offers tons of amenities
- Four fantastic pools include one with a swim-up bar and one VIP pool
- The expansive beach (though dangerous for swimming) is gorgeous, and leads to legendary El Arco
- The Whale Watcher bar isn't just a clever name--sitting high atop a cliff, in winter months whales can be spotted regularly
The Sandos Finisterra Los Cabos is one of Cabo's original all-inclusive mega-resorts, an architectural marvel when it was built in the 1960s. With modern touches, the resort's lively, hip atmosphere is the perfect juxtaposition to the gorgeous mountain views and ancient rock integrated into its landscaping.
Rooms are bright and airy with funky decorative accents and lovely little balconies, many of which overlook the beach. Wi-Fi is free but can be spotty sometimes, though it's more than good enough to research entertainment, nightlife and restaurants in downtown Cabo just a five-minute walk away.
Amenities include four outdoor pools, including one with a swim-up bar and one VIP (which some guests might find pretentious), a lovely spa with a sauna and a hydrotherapy area, four super tasty restaurants and an upscale buffet. The beach, though unsafe for swimming, is beautiful, and just walking along it will definitely be a highlight of the trip.
