SpringHill Suites Napa Valley
Why We Love This Hotel
- Roomy suites just 10-minute drive from the wineries of Napa and Sonoma and an on-site pool
- The Napa Valley Wine Train and artisanal food shops of the Oxbow District are a 12-minute drive away
- Quiet and secluded location (nothing within walking distance) -- so a car is necessary
- A hot breakfast buffet and in-room Wi-Fi are included in the nightly rate
From the outside, the Springhill Suites by Marriott Napa Valley blends into the wine country landscape beautifully. Set in a secluded location off the main highway, the building is a corporate interpretation of a Mediterranean villa. Golden yellow inside and out, and accented with hearthstone portico and lobby fireplace, the Spanish tile-topped is surrounded by little more than grass and some scattered industrial buildings in the distance.
On the plus side, this off-the-beaten path locale means pool time or sitting around the fire pit is going to be uninterrupted by area hustle and bustle. But if everyone in the group plans on sampling the area’s famous local libations, you’ll need to hire a car service or assign a designated driver as there’s nothing within walking distance of the property. Or park and hop aboard the Napa Valley Wine Train, a 12 minute drive away, and take a tasting and dining journey while someone else takes the wheel.
Warm interiors have dark wooden beamed ceilings and furniture to match. Studio suites are either one king bed or two doubles. Larger parties may want connecting rooms to give them more room to stretch out. All come with fully equipped kitchenettes and separate living areas with pull-out sofa beds. Mornings come with a free hot breakfast buffet. To stock up on snacks for the room, the artisanal food shops of the Oxbow District are a 12 minute drive away
A hotel fitness center and heated outdoor pool help burn off the overindulgence. There’s also a wine bar and a fire pit for cozying up and enjoying a glass or two as the sun goes down.
