Just across the street from the river in historic downtown Savannah, cobblestone streets lead to the entry of the Olde Harbour Inn. The former riverside warehouse was repurposed into an all-suite inn but kept its unique architectural features, giving it an historical flair.

The hotel is right on River Street, a vibrant stretch filled with antique shops, cafes and bars. Entering the lobby is an extension of this historic area, filled with period details like wide wooden flooring and whitewashed planked ceilings with light grey beams. Framed sepia-toned photographs show local scenes from past and give homage to the city’s rich history.

Many of Savannah’s historic buildings are rumored to be haunted, and the Olde Harbour Inn has its own purported resident ghost named "Hank." Those interested in learning more about him and other local legends can take a staff-led ghost tour of similarly spirited spots.

For those who prefer their spirits of the liquid kind, the hotel offers a daily wine and cheese reception and nightly turn-down service includes ice cream treats for every guest.

The all-suite guest rooms are the same cozy blend of old mixed with new. Wooden headboards with modern patterns are the same rich tones as the antique plank flooring. Brick walls are the same faded blue as the accent rugs and textiles. All come with free Wi-Fi, daily newspaper delivery and a complimentary hot breakfast buffet served in the lobby.
