Great location and hotel staff was phenomenal. Staff at the bar not as attentive, which was disappointing. Also, our room had a half moon window with a shutter that had broken slats on it, so the light from the hotel sign shined BRIGHT in our room all night. It finally turned off at 4:50am, which what's the point at that point?! The bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean.

the concierge was great (wish I had his name). I only had a limited amount of time Friday afternoon to grab some food. Told him what I was looking for and he guided me to a great place. His recommendation was spot on. Very nice guy too.

The only issue I had was getting an explanation of this perk:
"Waived destination fee (reg. $25 plus tax, per night); this covers Wi-Fi access, a $20 credit for use at Bourbon "O" Bar, in-room bottled water and more." At check in, the first rep said something about we have to pay the $25 but then have to spend $20 in the bar in order to get $20 credit.
Later that day I asked a different front desk rep and she said since its waived, that means we don't get the perk. In other words since we aren't paying the $25 fee, we do not get the credit at the bar.
Neither explanation made sense. We purchased 2 drinks at the bar that came to $31.08 plus a $5 cash tip. The drinks were not very good, super sweet. We did not receive $20 credit at the bar. We paid full price. So I don't understand the perk on the Travelzoo website. I believe we should have received $20 off our drinks.

The lobby is beautiful. The doorman and valet were very polite and attentive. The room overlooked the pool. The wooden blind in the room were broken though. The a/c worked great. The location was perfect.

Beautiful lobby, great front door/bellhop staff, and bartenders at Obar. Pool was very nice and maintained well. Room was comfortbale. Thanks for a great weekend!

The location is gray for walking everywhere. I love that the hotel bar has live music everyday. The rooms are nice but could definitely use at least one shelf in the bathroom. Also, just beware for those that might not walk a lot, it's an extremely far walk to the rooms from the elevators so request one close if you have issues walking.

This hotel was wonderful from check-in to checkout. The staff was fantastic. The concierge helped us to book a few excursions. Her recommendations were excellent and really helped us to learn more about the city and surrounding area. I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody going to New Orleans. The location was perfect…put you in the middle of everything but wasn’t loud for when you were ready to rest. If we do return to New Orleans (which we would like to), we would definitely stay here again!
