The Guardian describes South Pigalle (SoPi) in Paris's 9th arrondissement as "the latest trendsetting neighbourhood in the City of Light", while The New York Times claims it is "the hippest district in Paris". This area is also home to Hotel Sacha, a boutique property that opened at the end of last year.
Hotel Sacha is just south of Montmartre, within a 15-minute stroll of some of the city's most iconic sights, such as the Sacré-Coeur, the Moulin Rouge and the and Palais Garnier opera house. Pigalle and Saint-Georges Metro stations are less than a 5-minute walk.
According to Frommer's, the 9th arrondissement has "undergone a transformation", and is now "home to hip restaurants, cocktail bars, and an increasing number of independent and artisan shops".
Inside, the hotel is chock-full of theatre-inspired quirk from the 18th-century, paying homage to the nearby Palais Garnier opera house. Velvet curtains flank beds and opera glasses sit on side tables.
Complimentary champagne and nibbles are served from 6:30-8pm... listen out for bell.
