Such a wonderful, magical place. Driving up I was surprised it was just out in the open (guess I thought it would have been in the hills), but once you are on the property, it's like you are in Italy! I've never stayed in a place with so much attention to detail. The art, ambiance and staff were top notch. I was very sad to leave. I highly recommend Allegretto

We have been here before and Allegretto is truly a beautiful spot. The only negative was that on the day we were checking out, there was no hot water so we had to leave without having showers. We weren't expecting that. We had been given a notice the day before that some work was going to be done the night before between 10 pm and 5 am and that water would not be available. That was OK with us. We were disappointed when we did not have hot water and it was 8 am and we were leaving at 8:30 am.

This is a very nice resort, beautiful grounds. We had the King terrazzo room which had a nice patio. It was cold during our stay so we couldn’t enjoy the pool, but this would be a fun stay in the summer. Good restaurant and lively bar on Friday night.

It's a lovely property. The rooms are nice, but some of the details could be better. Amenities are fine but not super high end. Overall it's lovely and for Paso it's nice but some things like restaurant and bar staff could be better--they are nice people but don't know ingredients or cocktails very well.

It’s a beautiful place to stay. There are many places on the premises to enjoy. The decor and artwork are superb. The outside was beautifully designed with many activities to enjoy. Unfortunately, visiting in the winter months limits the use of the grounds and outside activities. It rained when we were there. Other than that, it would be very difficult to think of one negative thing about the resort. It was wonderful! The staff we connected with were all wonderful. The food at the restaurant was also great. A+

The hotel and grounds are beautiful. I did have to ask about the travelzoo bottle of wine, since they forgot to have that in the room. Also, the terrace room we got was a corner unit with a view of 2 walls, and only if we stepped outside and turned did we see a somewhat blocked view of the courtyard. Felt like they gave TZ members, less valued rooms. Everything else was great!
Very expensive hotel. Lovely grounds, decor but our room had no bathtub, no view, the “patio/terrace” had no privacy as it was on the ground floor with a walkway in front of the room. In addition, the occupants above us made a tremendous racket at 6 am with wheeling luggage, dropping, clattering objects on the tile floor. We requested a room change but that request was denied.
We chose the hotel for the proximity to a concert venue. When the concert was canceled due to the performer contracting Covid, we could not reschedule. We’d hoped the hotel would be a lovely experience in itself. For the price it was just okay. Further, one could obtain a comparable room for far less than what we paid directly from the hotel or from a third party. That makes for disappointment.
We also had breakfast at the restaurant. My husband chose the buffet for $32.00. It was not fresh, evidently prepared early that morning and not replenished. Poor value.

Can’t say the same for Cello as we had reservations for outside maybe 6 people in the restaurant Took 45 minutes for our order to come and it was just ok and very expensive. Nothing to rave about. The Allegretto is a beautiful property, the staff is efficient but also very friendly. There is plenty to see on the property in the way of artwork and sculptures. The singer in the lobby area added a great deal to the atmosphere. The bartenders in the restaurant were also very friendly and the food was delicious. We're looking forward to our next visit there in the spring.

A lovely resort and grounds in a nice setting. Beautiful art decorates the halls. A "must" to go once in your life. However, the wine tasting, the Cello restaurant and the workout room are all underwhelming. Even if you don't stay here, go for a visit.

It was New Year’s Eve weekend and the hotel was very crowded. We didn’t take advantage of the valet parking that came with our room because we thought we’d probably have to wait too long for our car due to the amount of people that were there. We didn’t get to use any of the common areas such as the fireplace areas as they were all jammed with people. The wine tasting room closes early so we didn’t get to use that. It was raining most of the time so we didn’t get to use any of the outdoor areas. We had New Years Eve dinner at their main restaurant. To say it wasn’t very good is being generous. I couldn’t even eat most of mine. The hotel is located on the east side of the 46 and it’s a pretty dark road if you’re driving at night. The better restaurants are downtown so the location of the hotel is not great.

We went to Allegretto for a Mom's getaway. The building itself is very unique and has a lot to offer. The courtyard with firepits and the large lobby rooms with oversized fireplaces were a great place to hang out and drink wine. We all got deep tissue massages at the spa and they were excellent. Bobbi the concierge gave us excellent dining suggestions in town. The rooms had tall ceilings, were clean and comfortable. We also love hanging out on our own private terraces. The criticism I would give is that the pool was a less impressive, smaller than we expected but it didn't dampen our experience at all. We didn't each much in the restaurant but what we had was good however the cocktails were excellent. Great overall experience.

Awesome Hotel and the value with TravelZoo was great. You must take the ART tour. It is so much more than art and you learn about the amazing art collection and the thought that went into building this resort. Dinner at Cello was great. Wish my terrace room didn't border on the tasting patio, but other than that, an awesome exceeding my expectations stay.

Very nice resort overall with beautiful grounds. We enjoyed the wine tasting at the associated winery (note that this is a separate business than the hotel and the restaurant) and dining at Cello Restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. Property is convenient to wineries on both the east and western sides of Paso Robles. We did not go to the pool since that isn't what we typically do. We like that the floors and walls are thick so we did not hear anyone next door. We will be back!

We went to Paso Robles to do some winetasting and used Allegretto as our base of operation. The rooms are spacious, quiet and well appointed. The resort has so much art everywhere. Loved the pumas and goats in the vineyard. There is plenty of parking, but they relegate so much for valet (which is barely used) that other spots are are further out. They need to rethink this.

Very nice hotel and would go back. They charge a lot of different taxes per night so it make the total price a little much, but it was a nice stay.

This was our second stay at Allegretto. The first was during the height of the pandemic. The resort is beautiful and really does give you the feeling of being in Italy. Take a walk through the vineyard out back, or around the property and notice the olive trees and Roman statues.

The best thing about the resort after it’s charm and aesthetics is the central location. Two golf course within 10 minutes, beautiful wineries within ten minutes, Tin City is 15 minutes away. Additionally, it was 105 degrees when we were there so we drove 30 minutes to Morro Bay to get a break from the heat.

The Allegretto is the absolutely best hotel for cleansing the psyche. Set in 20 acres of vineyards, it's just gorgeous and clean. The owner has collected artifacts from all parts of the globe: India, Asia, Europe (particularly Greece and Rome), and from all religions and myths. Charming and interesting. Exceptional service at the front desk, restaurant, and rooms. As delightful and immaculate as any place on earth!

Just a weekend get away...loved the hotel! Such attention to detail...so many pieces of beautiful art and items of interest. Spent about 4 days at Allegretto -- beautiful landscaping and surroundings, elegant interiors and rooms. Food a bit high-priced in the restaurant for what you get, but that seems like a "thing" for all of Paso Robles. Still, and enjoyable stay.

We were here for a two-night getaway. We had originally booked another hotel but then found this on Travelzoo and we were very excited to try it. It did not disappoint. The staff was amazing from the valet to the front desk and everyone in the restaurant. Amazing. In fact the people in the restaurant or so wonderful and the food was so good we ate there both nights instead of going out. they had a tesla charger on property and the valet charge the car every night for us. The food in the restaurant was delicious but it should come with a warning because the portions are so huge. My only suggestion would be to cut the portions in half and drop the price a bit. We brought our leftovers up to the room only to find out there is no microwave so it was a bit of a waste but we did enjoy it enough to come back the next night. The second night we split everything. All in all we would not only recommend this hotel but we will go back again ourselves.

I can't imagine not liking every aspect of Allegretto. I took a dip in the pool, walked the grounds to see all the beautiful artwork, tasted Allegretto estate wine, ordered room service, relaxed and enjoyed every minute of my stay. I was very sad to leave but this will be an annual getaway for years to come.

I treated my family to a weekend of winetasting. Allegretto Resort had so many fun things to do, I almost wanted to scrap the wine tasting and just hang out at the hotel. Love the alpacas and sheep! A wonderful place to stay!

Loved the hotel. The only thing I didn't like was at the restaurant bar they put my drink on the same bill as people I knew. I wanted it separate from them to put on my room. Bartenders would not do it. I think they put all the drinks together to charge a group tip. Other than that I loved it.
