Completely renovated as of June 2016, Hotel Angeleno in west LA treats guests to a taste of the Bel Air lifestyle. The cabana-lined pool is made even more inviting by a fireplace, with plenty of seating for an evening outdoors. Take morning coffee on your room's private balcony, which may have views of the Los Angeles skyline or Santa Monica hills. All rooms have complimentary Wi-Fi, making it easy to brag on social media outlets about your time spent in the City of Angels. Guests can also take advantage of free shuttle service within a three-mile radius, including a stop at the Getty Museum (a great way to avoid their $15 parking fee).

The hotel's location right off I-405 -- LA's main freeway -- makes it a breeze to access beaches and attractions. It's a five-minute drive to UCLA and a 15-minute drive to Santa Monica's beaches and buzzing, iconic pier. However, light sleepers might want to ask for a room facing away from the freeway to avoid the highway noise.

Head inland to Beverly Hills and shop world-class stores like Burberry and Gucci on Rodeo Drive. The picturesque Getty Museum next door features stunning views of the city along with sculptures, photographs and paintings -- perfect for an afternoon of exploring fine art.

WEST Restaurant & Lounge receives 4.5 stars on OpenTable. Enjoy entrees like cider-braised pork and lobster truffle mac 'n' cheese with panoramic views of the city.

Brenda Jan 28, 2016 San Luis Obispo, CA, United States
Enjoyed Most: Staff was excellent, very helpful. The restaurant was alright, convenient. We found the location to be excellent. There is some freeway noise, but we drowned out the noise with the air conditioner/fan on high.
Other Comments: There is some renovation going on at the hotel but we were impressed that they were quiet until 10 am and stopped by 5pm. Not bad.
Dianne Jan 23, 2016 Clovis, CA, United States
Enjoyed Most: Staff was very nice and accommodating.
Other Comments: The $25 credit for food and beverages, did not include alcohol. We were not aware that alcohol was not included until check out. The freeway white noise can be loud, next time we will ask for a room on the other side of the building.
Paula Jan 18, 2016 Fallbrook, CA, United States
Enjoyed Most: easy check in, comfortable room.
Other Comments: I do not know if the hotel was at capacity, but our room was on the freeway side. If not at capacity, I would suggest not placing guests on this side as the traffic is very loud.

Enjoyed Most: The service was friendly and very accommodating.
Jodi Dec 10, 2015 Delray Beach, FL, United States
Enjoyed Most: Price
Other Comments: Had problems with limited hot water and clogged drains.
Gene Nov 21, 2015 New York, NY, United States
Enjoyed Most: The staff was very friendly and it was close to the Getty Center.
Other Comments: No where did I read it was next to the highway, literally, right off the 405 highway. We could hear the traffic allll night long. Also, the rooms were a bit small and the shower pressure was really low and barely spit out water. Breakfast was good, dinner was so-so and expensive.
