Sitting along the Bow Valley Trail near a dozen chain hotels, the intimate Georgetown Inn offers a step outside the ordinary with its Tudor facade and Old English decor set against the stunning mountains surrounding Canmore. A steaming cup of tea and shortbread welcome guests to their rooms, which are named for British monarchs and equipped with fireplaces and Jacuzzis.
After a day on the slopes, relax in front of the fireplace at Miner's Lamb Pub, an English-style bar serving classic dishes like fish and chips, or enjoy a solid English breakfast in the morning. In the summertime, guests can savor a pint on the patio along with their pot pies. Parking and Wi-Fi are free for all guests of the hotel.
The gates to Banff National Park are a 10-minute drive away, and five different ski areas can be reached within an hour of the hotel. Lake Louise is a 50-minute drive.
