Overview
Sierra Sharm el Sheikh hotel sits in the same complex as its sister Royal Savoy and Savoy Hotels and has easy access to White Knight Beach (with its amazing snorkelling), an impressive spa over three floors and well regarded buffet restaurant. Little wonder then that it was named Egypt’s Leading All Inclusive Resort at the World Travel Awards from 2011-2013.
SOHO Square is also in the complex, and you’ll find an ice rink, a nightclub, a 10-pin bowling alley, shops and restaurants here. Guests who stay on an all-inclusive basis (which you can upgrade to on arrival) can eat at the Akuna Matata restaurant here, and receive an hour’s ice skating, tennis or bowling, and a 15-minute neck-and-shoulder massage at the hotel’s impressive spa.
The spa is spread over three floors and also has a Jacuzzi, a steam room, a sauna and two swimming pools. There are eight swimming pools, including the Sunset pool, and a number of poolside bars. The lobby rooftop bar is also worth a visit; it has views over the resort, and the Queen Vic (at SOHO Square) is styled on an English pub.
Guests can try the 10 restaurants at SOHO Square or eat at the Savoy Hotel (discounts are plentiful), but the on-site Mountain Restaurant serves an international buffet three times a day. For breakfast, expect freshly cooked eggs, omelettes, fresh fruit, salad and more.
Rooms are well sized and most have a balcony and views over the pool or gardens. Upgrade to a suite for more space, a separate living area, bathrobes and slippers. Wi-Fi is free of charge in the bedrooms.
