Overview

Occupying prime downtown waterfront real estate, the Hilton San Diego Bayfront draws families, business travelers, and those seeking to explore the area's nearby attractions and amusement parks. A pedestrian bridge provides easy access to the nearby PETCO Park and the Gaslamp Quarter. Among the area's various family-friendly attractions, the San Diego Zoo is about a ten-minute drive away, while SeaWorld is about a 15-minute drive away.

Had a wonderful time at this beautiful hotel! We had some glitches with out room and the “CleanStay” protocol but otherwise thoroughly enjoyed our experience there. Everyone at the hotel goes out of their way to ensure that guests have a wonderful time and are well treated. The service and setting are both impeccable. The food as great also. I especially loved the pool area, the views and the magnificent Bayfront location.. Front desk service rep Shaunice was a special standout! We definitely plan to stay again soon!!!

We encountered some problems while trying to order dinner from our room from the Vela restaurent, maybe it's due to the pandaemic and reduced staffing? However we have to give them credit for trying to salvage the goodwill by crediting us for the meal. Other than that incident, we had a great stay.

If you got a room with a good view but I think you could get the same or better view from other hotels as well.

The staff give conflicting information one will tell you one thing and another something different. The location is not ideal either.

No housekeeping was offered for four days day. View on the 29th floor was fabulous! Rowdy guess on Friday night made it less than desirable to try to sleep. Also barking dogs on the same floor are annoying. The deal through Travelzoo was incentive to stay. Usually the resort fee and paid parking deter me from this hotel

It was Covid so of course it’s not gonna be as great as normal but the staff tried to compensate by their Great hospitality. The food is very good however very much overpriced. Three small very tasty tacos and a delicious tortilla soup Costing almost $33. Was a bit much. We did have an unfortunate experience in the morning on December 2 when we were woken up at 7am by hammering. We looked outside and saw a cart with tools on it in front of the electrician room on the 30th floor we were in 3059. That was rather uncalled for and I called the front desk to let them know and they said they didn’t know about any work and it shouldn’t be done at that time. Someone wasn’t supposed to be working and hammering. The little refrigerators don’t even keep drinks cold so we put ice inside of it to keep our stuff cold. You might as well just provide cooler chests instead and save electricity. A microwave would’ve been good especially during Covid so you could warm things up. This was the first Hilton I’ve been to without microwaves and I was surprised you didn’t have them. Your staff are great. They try to fix everything except for the things they couldn’t like our streaming on the TV that loaded and then you saw a little bit of the program and then load again so little program loaded again throughout the movie. Anyways besides those glitches the stay was OK. We loved the room, the beds were comfortable,it was mostly clean except a few things. Stained or dirty shower curtain that we had replaced. The refrigerator needs to be cleaned behind the plastic cover and the coffee maker was filthy. We cleaned the coffee maker. It wasn’t a problem we do it anywhere we go anyway. The view is beautiful. It was a nice experience and we would go back.

I have to say something special about Vanessa, We were visiting my mother before we came so we were going to be late. She made sure that we got the room we wanted on the floor we wanted and made the check in process very easy. I believe she went over and above. Again you should be proud of your staff.

We were there for 3 nights & NOT once did anyone bother to ask us if we needed extra towels or the puny personal hygiene items (enough for one person & one night) or 2 measly packs of low class coffee w/ paper cups! As world wide travelers staying closer to home Expected more from Hilton! They expect you to eat in your room as all their restaurants & most in area are closed but who bothers to check for leftover trash? No one! We also got accosted by employee as we’re leaving literally out the door, for not masking! The constant visual & verbal announcements bout Covid rules was way over the top! Travelled across 3 states & didn’t experience the barrage of covid rules thrown at customers like this Hilton! Cancelled our TVZ Hilton Del Mar last summer as I read & called to confirm masks were required by pool! Should have known this Hilton wasn’t going to be any different ! They need to lighten up:)
