We didn't particularly enjoy the meal at the sister hotel (included in package). There were only 4 choices for main course and the only light summer choice was off the menu. The toast served with my starter was burnt. We didn't bother eating there a second day due to the poor quality of the meal.

Very good value, clean bed and excellent breakfast. We stayed in room 32 on the top floor, which had a tiny shower room with toilet. The shower is very small. The furnishings in the property look tired.

The breakfast, particularly the eggs benedict, and all cooked to order was superb. The range and number of tea/coffee/choco;ate/horlicks etc in the room was excellent and typical of the care given to the little things. The Travelzoo deal was excellent value for money and we enjoyed our meal in the brasserie. The rooms are a little small and (faded elegance" comes to mind but they have character and are well stocked. With hindsight we might have upgraded. The staff were most helpful and courteous.

It is a long walk of about 3 miles via the canal - ask at reception for directions - from the lodge but worth it. However the very regular 3 and 3A buses got you into Bath quickly- £2.50 single.

Very comfortable beds, high quality towels and the rooms very well equipped with varieties of tea and coffee with biscuits. Bus stop just outside the hotel for travel into town centre. Very good value.

Four poster bed and excellent breakfasts.

Don't go into Bath by car use the excellent and frequent bus service just outside the drive with drop off points and pick ups in the heart of the city.
