Bath Abbey, The Roman Baths and Thermae Bath Spa -- which is great for a pamper session -- are all less than 10 minutes' walk away. You can sample homemade fudge at the Fudge Kitchen, opposite the Abbey, or walk a little further to see the Bath Assembly Rooms and The Jane Austen Centre, which are around 15 minutes on foot from the hotel. The Royal Crescent, with its impressive Georgian architecture and hilltop views, is 20 minutes' walk away.

The hotel's Parisian-style restaurant, Brasserie Brunel, serves French specialities such as confit duck and homemade liver and brandy pâté, as well as steaks from a local farm, homemade desserts and a variety of vegetarian dishes. The 1846 Bar offers a lighter menu, as well as cocktails, real ales and wines from around the world.

Excellent customer service, the deal was great value for money. The food was excellent, the quality was of a high standard and a varied menu. The hotel was clean and the room adaquate for a short break. The location of the hotel is great and within walking distance to the main attractions.
Other Comments
Great if travelling by train as the station is opposite, if travelling by car a car park is only up the road from the hotel. Overall an excellent break.

visitors should be aware that the bedrooms at the front and side of the property will experience a large amount of traffic noise during the night as the hotel is situated at a crossroads with traffic signals.
