You'll find the 3-star Giverola Resort in a picturesque bay near the small fishing village of Tossa de Mar. It's built into the mountains so may not suit those with very young children or mobility issues.
The resort runs a regular shuttle service to Tossa de Mar (costing 2.50€ per adult, each way and 1.50€ per child) and a free funicular railway to the sandy beach below. There are plenty of free activities to keep guests entertained on site, with archery, mini golf, yoga, a games room and three pools on site (including a children's pool with a waterslide). There are also tennis courts, bikes to hire and a skatepark (fees apply), and on the beach, it's possible to try snorkelling, scuba diving, canoeing or water skiing (fees apply). The surrounding area is also good for hiking and a kid's club runs every day during the summer.
The buffet restaurant Mariposa serves breakfast and dinner to those on a half-board basis, and the Madrugada restaurant is open for à la carte lunch and dinner on the beach from June to October. There's a beach bar here, too (Chiringuito), during the summer and on warm evenings, there's live jazz playing on the terrace and a mini disco for children.
The apartments are well sized, with small kitchenettes (expect a microwave, a hob, a fridge and kitchen utensils), and a balcony. Most have sea views. There’s a mini mart on site for essentials, and a larger supermarket in Tossa de Mar.
