Overview

Experience a little taste of Italy in Sonoma County at the 4-star Vintners Inn. The property is located on 92 acres of vineyards and makes for the perfect Wine Country getaway.

Vintners finished up a million-dollar renovation in 2015 that put a major emphasis on becoming more environmentally conscious. They now have energy-efficient lighting, electric car charging stations and electric fireplaces. The inn was named a Conde Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Top 10 Northern California Hotel that year as well.

For fitness enthusiasts, there is a scenic 2-mile jogging trail through the vineyards, or guests can opt for the state-of-the-art workout room. We suggest heading to the bocce ball court with a glass of wine for a friendly game.

Sit back and relax with a spa service after a day of wine tasting. Guests can dine at John Ash & Co. Restaurant, a well-known restaurant in the area with an extensive wine list. There is also Vintners Inn Cafe, where guests can enjoy breakfast and brunch.

From the press:
  • "On the premises is John Ash & Co., one of the first restaurants to set high standards for Wine Country cuisine" -- Fodor's
  • "The Provencal-style resort in Santa Rosa has one of the area's freshest looks thanks to a $10 million redo that expanded the estate and modernized the rooms" -- Travel + Leisure

Tasteful and inviting decor everywhere (rooms, restaurant, outdoors) and genuinely friendly and helpful personnel who really went the extra mile to make our stay special.

WE have been going to Vintners Inn for a few years now and have always enjoyed this package deal. Seems now the prices have escalated to off set the credits,

Primarily the tip that was automatically added to our dinner tap. It is customary to add on a tip to a dinner bill if there are 6 or more in a party. We were a party of 4. An automatic add on doesn't give us the option of rewarding the waiter based on his service. It appears they are now trying to recoup the $50. credit towards dinner through the automatic tipping.

Location, staff, and the best thing is the room itself. Ate at John Ash on site and we really love the food and wait service. It was our 4th visit and we will definitely be back again.

The property is very pretty- there are fountains everywhere, and a sort of European charm. There is turndown service in the evening which is a nice touch, and a coffee and tea setup outside rooms for you to make your own cup of something. Most rooms have a patio or porch attached. Ours was on the ground level and was okay as far as patios go. The tub, though enclosed in the shower, was slightly larger than most hotel rooms. The extras were ok, though we didn't find any would be really worth the price for us.
Other Comments
There wasn't anything specifically wrong with the room, but it was certainly not worth the money and looked nothing like the photos on here. We stayed in a lower tier room, and it felt sort of like a Marriott or something-- not really luxurious. The walls were pretty thin so we could hear our neighbors. Aside from a few places the wallpaper was peeling or paint was chipping, the room was in decent shape and clean, but just not amazing. Front desk staff were also just a bit disinterested. When they asked us how the room was and I said it was only alright, they just responded, "ok great, here is your bill". It was an experience like any mid-tier hotel chain, but not a luxury one. Also, a very small point, but the robes were itchy and uncomfortable for my taste. The surrounding area in Santa Rosa was also pretty bland and boring aside from the Charles Schultz museum. The suites might be beautiful and much better value, but based on our experience, I would recommend staying elsewhere.

exceptional property-not our first visit and certainly not our last!

It does not get better than this! I could go on and on about this property.... There is no other property that we have stayed at in Napa or Sonoma where we stay in every evening and enjoy the hotel that we are at - Its that good! John Ash restaurant is exceptional and the front bar is great too for drinks and meals! Ferrari Carano Vineyards is also a must do and Vitners Inn will arrange a visit/tour there for their guests(same owners). All around CLASS ACTS!
