A 5-star hotel on Ixia Bay, the Atrium Platinum Luxury Resort Hotel & Spa overlooks the Aegean sea -- but pretty sea views and impressive sunsets are just the icing on the cake of this comfortable, elegant hotel.
There's direct access to the beach from the hotel but if you’re ready to explore, the UNESCO World Heritage site of Rhodes town is 10 minutes’ drive away. Wander down cobbled streets and get lost among the classical, medieval and Italian architecture, then explore the Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes and the Archaeological Museum of Rhodes. The hotel is also within two miles of Rodini Park -- a landscaped area dating back to Roman times.
Back at the hotel after a hard day’s sun-bathing or sight-seeing, there are plenty of options for dinner. Choose from the hotel’s five restaurants -- each serves up different cuisines, and there’s a wide range of Greek, Asian, Mediterranean and international dishes. Two bars, one indoor, one poolside, offer drinks throughout the day. The resort also has a spa with a gym, indoor pool, sauna, solarium and hammam. A variety of treatments are on offer (charges apply; children under 14 are not allowed in the spa).
There are 308 rooms, all decorated in contemporary, elegant style -- all have free WiFi, balconies and a sofa bed. Upgrades offer more space -- suites have separate living areas -- and some offer personal plunge pools, particularly useful if you’re travelling with a family.
