Overview

The destination for old-world Milwaukee elegance and luxury since its opening day in 1893, The Pfister has hosted presidents, dignitaries and celebrities over the decades and has maintained its AAA 4-Diamond designation since the ratings were first published in 1977. Rooms feature polished wood furnishings and pillowtop beds with Egyptian cotton sheets, Tower rooms feature lake and city views and Club-level rooms also include access to the 23rd-floor private lounge.

Dining options include The Cafe at the Pfister for sandwiches, salads and Starbucks coffee (along with free Wi-Fi) and the Mason Street Grill serving steakhouse fare. Afternoon tea is served most afternoons, and for drinks, head to the 23rd floor to the penthouse for cocktails at Blu -- it regularly wins "best view in town" honors. The hotel also features the top-ranked Well Spa, named one of the best destination spas in Wisconsin by Milwaukee Magazine.

The downtown location puts guests within walking distance of the Pabst Theater, the Bradley Center, the bars and restaurants of Old World Third and Water Streets as well as the famous Milwaukee Art Museum along the lakefront.

SUCH a beautiful hotel with wonderful staff.

We loved being in an upper club level room, with access to the Pfister Club on the 23rd floor. The breakfasts and hors d'oevres were excellent.

beautiful historic hotel with lovely art and architecture to enjoy

Hotel rooms in the tower are fairly ordinary, though nice. Wouldn't know you were in a "historic hotel" but the lobby more than makes up for that. Club Lounge floor was nice, with evening appetizers and breakfast provided. Blu lounge on the same floor adds nice ambience, as you can hear the jazz musicians both in the lounge and in the pool. Great views.

In the heart of the City but it was quiet and felt so opulent.
Other Comments
Breakfast and snacks in the evening were pretty good, considering that kind of thing is usually not the best. The rooms in the tower were very nice, although it was dry in there because of the extremely cold outside weather. That was really our only complaint.
