It took an hour an half to check in. I booked on December 1 to find out they were overbooked when we arrived-no call, no notification. Krista from travelzoo stayed on the phone with me for 50 minutes and was a great and sympathetic help, and through the grace of God someone canceled and we got that one room. Had they not canceled we would not have been able to stay there. In the future I will book direct, b/c like i said, i booked December 1 and arrived at 9 pm to be told we would have to stay 10 miles away when the whole trip was built around being at that location. Only people who booked 3rd party were turned away

The hotel was over-booked and we did not have a room despite receiving a confirmation email. The hotel communicated with TravelZoo to take down the deal because they were booked , but you did not do it. My family of 5 (3 children ages 11 and under) were left with NO hotel room and NO options because all of the hotels within a 2-hour radius were booked. VERY disappointed in TravelZoo.

Very nice hotel situated on the banks of the St Johns River. Listed as Southbank Hotel (also listed as Delta), just be known it is a Marriott owned property.

Hotel staff were very friendly. And I had no issues checking in with my travel zoo reservations. Hotel needs to be renovated.

When I checked in at the hotel I was asked to insert my credit card into the machine and it said approved so I removed it. A minute later the lady behind the counter said it had glitched and I needed to insert it again, so I did. After we got our room keys we checked into our room which was one for people with disabilities so it had the sloped shower floor for wheelchair access. We're not disabled nor did we request the room but we figured it may have been the only one available and were fine with it except for one major flaw. The shower floor sloped up to get in the shower, not down like it should have. When we took very quick showers the water traveled from the higher shower floor directly into the main bathroom under the vanity, It was literally an inch deep of water on the bathroom. Lastly, at about 10:30 PM our room door was opened up and luckily the safety latch was on and prevented it opening more than about 2". The man opening it said he was with the hotel security "just checking doors."

the room and the hotel were nice but I did not feel safe. We went to dinner and when we got back our fire alarm was going off. Called the front desk (who did not know alarm was going off) and maintenance came up and said it was fine. We left to go for a walk, got back and fire alarm was going off. Called front desk (who did not know alarm was going off) and maintenance came back and replaced. Twenty minutes later, fire alarm in room went off. Husband went down to front desk, they did not know alarm was going off. He asked to change rooms. They gave us a new room, no offer to help us move. While he was downstairs, alarm went off again. How do they not know that there is a fire alarm in a room that went off 4 times? Discussed with person at front desk next morning who was concerned and showed me how they are notified but guess it didn't work or guy at desk didn't know. It was very concerning and I felt not safe. They couldn't compensate me for room because it was through you.
