Hotel Villa Aurora is in Lezzeno, overlooking Lake Como which is described as "the most spectacular of the lakes" by Lonely Planet and as "one of the most beautiful lakes in the world" by The Daily Telegraph.
This family-owned property is within a 15-minute drive of popular tourist attractions, including the Church of Nesso, the Villa Melzi Gardens, the Nesso waterfalls and the Villa Serbelloni.
The hotel is split into two, housed within an early 20th-century building and a modern villa. The on-site pizzeria has an outdoor terrace featuring views of Comacina Island -- a small wooded island on Lake Como. There’s also a wine bar and a sun deck with sun loungers. Buffet breakfast is served in the breakfast room overlooking the lake and room service is available.
Kayaks, canoes and bikes can be rented for free; and water skis, wakeboards, banana boats and doughnut boats can be hired for an additional charge. Bike storage and parking are complimentary.
The soundproofed bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms with showers, plus satellite TV, free Wi-Fi, safes and ceiling fans. Previous guests have raved about the lake views from some rooms.
For those looking for self-catering accommodation, the hotel also rents out apartments which are suitable for families, couples and group of friends.
