The spacious two-bedroom suites at the quaint Olde Marco Island Inn & Suites are the perfect place to unwind while visiting Marco Island, named one of the Top 10 Islands in the United States by TripAdvisor’s 2015 Travelers’ Choice. Lose yourself in the island life at this landmark hotel that dates back to 1833, yet has undergone renovations and updates “while maintaining its historical charm” (Frommer’s).

Suites are roomy at 1,130 square feet and all feature private, screened verandas, fully equipped kitchens and complimentary Wi-Fi. Each suite has a separate living area, which is perfect for spreading out. There’s a grocery store within a 10-minute drive for those guests wishing to prepare breakfast or some meals in the comfort of their suite.

The nearest beach is about a 10-minute drive from the inn. The hotel can arrange for convenient transportation in a town car to and from Tigertail Beach for $6 plus tip for up to four people. Jet skiing and boat rentals can be arranged at Walker’s Island Adventure, only a four-minute walk from the inn.

A great way to explore the island is by bike. These are available for rent at the property's front desk. Adjacent to the hotel are The Shops of Olde Marco, featuring various dining options for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as retail shops. There's also an on-site restaurant, Bistro Soleil, that serves up French cuisine and seafood specialties.

From the press:
  • "In addition to stellar service, the inn has one of the area's nicest restaurants, Bistro Soleil, featuring the fine French fare of Chef Denis Meurgue. Couples looking for a first, second, or third honeymoon should stay here, without question" -- Frommer's

Enjoyed Most: towel rack in 2nd bedroom fell off wall, roach in maste4r bath. TZ promised free glass of wine in restaurant, but restaurant was not even open. Nothing "deluxe" about it, just a place for families.
Other Comments: the photo is of an historic inn, but the rooms are actually in concrete block boring buildings with mildew stains in the bathtub caulking and cracks in the wall tile.

Enjoyed Most: I thought the suite we were in was lovely, clean and well equipped. I was very disappointed that everything on the property and on the island was closed. September is appearently not the month to go.
Other Comments: No daily maid service.

Other Comments: This was a building of condos with no hotel amenities or service. The condo was shabby and furnished with cheap, Odd Lot furnishings. The kitchen was equipped from the Dollar Store. We were a party of four and had to be washing dishes, etc., after every meal as there were not enough of anything. Thank goodness there was a dishwasher. Cleanliness was okay, but not up to my standards of clean. Everything was closed, restaurants and shops. When we asked at the front desk we were informed that this was there down season. They are more into catering to the snowbirds and businesses would open up after October. The front desk closed at 6:00 pm. So on Saturday when we wanted to ask for recommendations for restaurants there was no one around. We were not impressed with Marco Island at all. It is over developed and no where did you get a view of the beach, palm trees. All access was privately owned. The two public beaches were hard to get to, long walks to get to beach.

Other Comments: We were suppose to get two free glasses of wine with a dinner at the Bistro....but It was closed. Its really not good to offer some freebees and not have them available because you close your restaurant for a month. Some other compensation should have been offered We also got a discount card for the shops at the hotel and they too were closed...The place was like a ghost town..

Other Comments: The service guy was blowing leafs too early.

Enjoyed Most: The hotel was clean, conveniently located close to the beach as well as many restaurants and shops, and spacious. They provide movies, books and games for guests to check out, have a pool on-site that is clean and well-kept, indoor and outdoor parking, and flexibility to check-out at a later time (based on availability). Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would love to visit again. The time spent was very relaxing.
Other Comments: Wonderful experience, happy to visit again in the near future.
