The 4-star Inglewood Manor is a Grade II-listed Edwardian property on 38 acres of private land, 15 minutes' drive from Chester. There is a terrace with views of the manicured lawns, and an on-site tennis court.
The hotel is on the Wirral Peninsula, 30 minutes' drive from Liverpool; explore Liverpool Cathedral, the longest cathedral in the world at 188 metres. Chester Zoo is 15 minutes' drive from the hotel, as is Chester's historic city centre, with its well-preserved 2000-year-old city wall that "gift-wraps a tidy collection of Tudor and Victorian buildings", according to Lonely Planet.
Inglewood Manor's restaurant uses locally sourced produce where possible, and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can also opt for a traditional Sunday lunch, or take afternoon tea on the terrace and enjoy the fine country views. A stroll around the estate's extensive grounds is a lovely way to wind down at the end of the day.
As the hotel was once a private country house, each of its 29 bedrooms is uniquely designed and furnished. All rooms have flat-screen TVs, tea- and coffee-making facilities, and views of the grounds. Many of the Executive rooms have 4-poster beds or vaulted ceilings, as well as bathrobes and handmade chocolates.
