Map & Directions

Edinburgh airport is about a 25-minute drive away, or you can take the no 100 bus from outside the Hilton hotel and get off at Waverley Bridge, just over 5 minutes’ walk from the hotel. Trains run into

Edinburgh Waverley, about 6 minutes’ walk away. Note that if you approach the hotel from Warriston’s Close, there are 130 steps -- to avoid these, walk up Cockburn Street, turn right at the top and walk 300 yards to Mary King's Close. Turn right into the close and then left to access Roxburgh's Court. There is no car park at the site, but public car parks are available nearby.

Old Town Chambers, where "medieval fantasy meets 21st-century chic" (The Daily Telegraph), is in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town, a maze of cobbled streets, steep staircases and hidden courtyards. Once a handful of mostly-neglected 15th-century buildings, it’s been restored and converted to offer elegance, comfort and a real sense of the city’s history.

These serviced apartments sit in a medieval court just off the Royal Mile, which connects Edinburgh Castle (6 minutes' walk) and Holyrood Palace (15 minutes' walk). St Giles' Cathedral is across the road from the Roxburgh's Close exit (there’s also access from Cockburn Street). It’s perfect for art lovers -- the Scottish National Gallery and Royal Scottish Academy are both within 10 minutes' walk.

There isn’t a restaurant, but the 24-hour concierge service can help you find somewhere to eat -- there are two Michelin-starred restaurants in central Edinburgh and two more in Leith to get you started. If you fancy a night in (really?), all apartments have well-equipped kitchens.

All apartments have Nespresso machines, high-quality sound systems and free Wi-Fi. Apartments range from Studios, which are in the 15th-century Adam Bothwell house and sleep two, to Three Bedroom Apartments, which sleep up to six people. The three-storey Townhouse, in a 14th-century building, has a large master bedroom and a rolltop bath. There is also a selection of One-, Two- and Three-Bedroom Penthouses with balconies or terraces overlooking Princes Street. An impressive 95% of TripAdvisor reviewers rate the apartments Very Good or Excellent.
