The Savoy Jersey
Why We Love This Hotel
- The property won Jersey's Leading Hotel at the 2014 & 2015 World Travel Awards
- It has a great location close to the attractions of St Helier town centre
- You can sample refined fine-dining in the hotel's restaurant & soak up live jazz in Roberto's Bar each weekend
Located in St Helier, the capital of Jersey, The Savoy is a 19th-century townhouse set in landscaped gardens. Now a family-run hotel, the property makes a great base from which to explore the island, with the shops, bars and restaurants of the town centre just a short walk away.
All 56 rooms have king-size beds, modern décor, LCD TVs and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi. There are also interconnecting rooms, making the hotel an ideal choice for a family stay. All guests get a full English or continental breakfast each morning of their stay.
The Montana Restaurant has a seasonally changing menu, using produce from the island where possible, and a nightly tasting menu. During the day, have a light lunch or take afternoon tea in the cosy Drawing Room lounge, or in the outdoor courtyard if the sun is shining.
The courtyard is also home to the swimming pool and Jacuzzi, both open throughout the summer. Guests have free use of the gym if you fancy a workout.
In the evenings, Roberto's Bar is the ideal spot for a pre- or post-dinner drink, with an inventive cocktail menu and an extensive selection of gins. On Fridays and Saturdays, a 2-course set-menu dinner accompanied by live jazz is £15 per person (must be booked in advance).
Situated a short walk from the sea, the hotel is within a 10-minute walk of Jersey Opera House and Jersey Museum. St Helier Harbour is 20 minutes' walk or five minutes' drive. From here you can get to Elizabeth Castle, on foot at low tide and by ferry at other times. La Hougue Bie Museum (which features a Neolithic passage tomb nearly 5000 years old) is less than 10 minutes' drive.
