"Oslo is one of Europe's most amenable capitals, a vibrant, self-confident city with a relaxed and easy-going air, its handsome centre set between the rippling waters of the Oslofjord and the green, forested hills of the interior," says Rough Guides. Saga Hotel Oslo is a 4-star boutique property in the city centre, close to the Royal Palace. The hotel, which dates back to the 1890s, is on a quiet, tree-lined street full of old buildings.
It is within walking distance of Bogstadveien, one of Oslo's best-known streets, which is full of cafés, restaurants and shops. It is also five minutes from Frognerparken (the Vigeland Sculpture Park). Trams run past the hotel, so it's easy to get around the centre of Oslo.
In 2015, TripAdvisor ranked this the 5th-best hotel out of 85 in Oslo, and 10th in the Top 25 Hotels for Romance in Norway.
