The Savic Hotel, in Prague's Old Town, an area that has changed very little since the 10th century, is just off the Old Town Square, "one of Europe's biggest and most beautiful urban spaces" says Lonely Planet.
It is a few minutes' walk away from the Astronomical Clock and Charles Bridge, and is within easy reach of other historical landmarks including Prague Castle, Wenceslas Square, the National Theatre and the Powder Tower. You will also find plenty of shops, restaurants and bars close by.
The hotel restaurant, U Dominikana, serves traditional Czech food made using locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant is in a former Dominican monastery -- hence its name -- and has an outdoor area, so guests can dine outside on a cobbled street.
The Savic holds a 2015 TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice Award (Top 25 Hotels for Romance in the Czech Republic). It has 27 rooms and all guests get a free buffet breakfast. There's free Wi-Fi in public areas.
Because the hotel is in an old building, some guests have reported that although there is a lift to most floors, some of the stairs within the hotel may cause issues for people with mobility problems.
