citizenM Hotel Glasgow is a stylish 198-bedroom hotel in Scotland's largest city. Bedroom lighting, temperature and entertainment are all controlled by an in-room tablet at this modern boutique hotel. Awarded Hotel of the Year in the Scottish National Hotel Awards 2013, citizenM Glasgow is "an ũbercool showroom of ultra-modern styling", says The Guardian.
Located at the heart of Glasgow city centre, the hotel is five minutes' walk from the Buchanan Galleries and The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. Glasgow Central train station is less than 15 minutes' walk from the hotel, as are the Gallery of Modern Art and Princes Square Shopping Centre. You can explore Scotland's countryside at Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, 45 minutes' drive from the hotel.
The Guardian rates citizenM Hotel Glasgow as one of the city's best budget and boutique hotels, and The Telegraph deems its stylish décor to be "a quirky mix of German design meets Star Trek". There is a 24-hour canteen and the public areas have been decorated with a home-like feel.
The soundproofed rooms are simple and minimalist, with the large beds taking up a good proportion of the space. The modern rooms each come with a tablet computer, which is used to control mood lighting, blinds, temperature and entertainment. The powerful rain shower and toilet are encased in a pod-like area, which can be lit up in a range of colours. All bedrooms have free Wi-Fi, newspapers and movies, and guests can also make free international and national calls.
