The 4-star Oxford Spires Four Pillars Hotel is outside Oxford, set in 30 acres of riverside parkland next to a horse sanctuary. Built with Cotswold stone, the contemporary hotel features extensive leisure facilities.
The hotel is under a mile outside Oxford, close enough to explore the city, yet far away enough to relax in the peaceful rural surroundings. You can reach the city centre by bus or car (there are parking restrictions in Oxford, so use one of the council's five park and ride centres; see http://www.oxford.gov.uk/PageRender/decTS/Park_and_Ride_occw.htm) or by a pleasant walk along the River Thames. The property is a 14-minute walk from Christ Church, one of Oxford University's most prestigious colleges, and about a mile from the Covered Market, home to a variety of shops, restaurants and bars.
The hotel has a gym and an indoor swimming pool. Stays at the hotel also include complimentary access to the Willows Leisure Club, which features an on-site spa with a sauna and steam room, with additional beauty treatments (extra charges apply). The hotel's Deacons Restaurant has views of the surrounding grounds, and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner; it also has a Sunday carvery. The Deacons Bar and Lounge overlooks the patio, where you can have a drink or food outdoors when the weather is fine.
All rooms at the hotel offer 24-hour room service and free Wi-Fi. Some look out over the hotel’s gardens and have views of the horse sanctuary.
