"We cannot say enough about the staff, especially the manager, Adrian! He was the best! Also a shout out to: Will, Tanika, Mariah and Tera! Thank you for making our stay so pleasant!"
Set in a former YMCA built at the turn of the last century, Le Meridien Philadelphia is a study in contrasts: Contemporary artwork hangs on lofty oak-paneled walls in the lobby. Steps away from the 75-foot glass-and-brick atrium is the white-, black- and chrome-bedecked aMuse French brasserie, complete with an illuminated glass bar.
The guest rooms are decorated in a neutral gray palette offset by retro accents — think bright-yellow mid-century modern armchairs — and loaded with modern amenities like flat-screen TVs, down pillows and, in the bathrooms, light-up marble vanities.
The surrounding area offers a bevy of things to do, too: The Philadelphia Museum of Art — home of the famous "Rocky" steps and statue — is roughly a five-minute drive. Old City and the Liberty Bell, as well as the bars and restaurants of Rittenhouse Square, are within a 20-minute walk.

There was no coffee or tea available. no room service. I know there was COVID but having to go down to the lobby and wait for the coffee to brew was not 5 star service at all. The linens on the bed were not tucked in and didn't fit the bed. The first room I was shown had no tub and no amenities in the shower. when I checked in, the person behind the desk had her mask below her nose. I am a nurse and this was pretty disturbing.

The hotel is quite lovely. However, there were gnat flying around the room for our 2 day stay. I'm not sure if the room had not been used or what, maybe they were trapped in the fridge or something. It was weird and out of control. The hotel front was willing to move us but we had less than 8 hours remaining in the room - totally wasn't worth moving at that hour.

Somewhat confused about the payment. They seemed to have billed the credit card I gave them for incidentals. Should room charges be handled through Travelzoo?

When I read the reviews about how excellent the service was; i was a little dubious about what could have been done to deserve that review. It felt excessive. Wrong, it was very accurate and because of such, I am uncertain if i will stay in another hotel in Philadephia. The staff was friendly, accomdating, and generous. Genreous with their time in assisting each customer. Not to the point of unuselessly asking to enroll you for a reward card while there is a line around the corner. They were thorough. I liked my room, my view (of City Hall)

I accidentally left $ in the safe. Not only did they retreive it, but the customer service to ensure that i received it was beyond the call of duty.

staff was overall unpleasant; wrongly overcharged for stay even though it was part of this travelzoo deal; there was very loud guests closeby partying and nobody seemed to address and fix this issue; there was no hot water in our room including both in the faucet and in the shower...

The la meridian is a beautiful hotel centrally located to everything. The staff are welcoming, attentive and helpful. The room was wonderful, beautiful king size bed nice linens plush pillows coffee and water in the room. From within our room we could not hear any street noise or noise from other guests in the hallways. For me that’s an important issue. This hotel has a beautiful bar with a nice happy hour Monday through Fridays from 5 to 7. The breakfast menu had a great selection and the food was excellent. Also pricing for the breakfast was moderate. We did not use the gym facilities but I’m sure they’re fine. All in all I would recommend the hotel have no hesitation staying here again.
