Really good staff and good location. Hotel thought and provided the most important amenities--good bedding, large bathroom, good wifi & tv reception. It was no frills but cost was reasonable so made it worth it

The Ace Hotel is in a phenomenal location, just a few blocks away from many subway lines, surrounded by lively restaurants with outdoor seating, and 3 blocks from Koreatown. Couldn't ask for a better location.
Other Comments
The lobby is dark and atmospheric, but in a good way. The vibe of the hotel is quirky and ironic, also in a good way. Rooms are quite large by NYC standards. The electrical system needs updating. Outlets in our room were literally held together with duct tape and scary looking extension cords.

I had booked through a third party (TravelZoo) and was charged $200 more than the rate I booked. I have reached out to Travel Zoo to get reimbursed the over charge, and they were reaching out to you sort out what happened. I am waiting to hear back.

Had to move rooms twice due to issues. First room had puddle of water near air conditioning. Second room air conditioning was broken. Hotel rooms themselves desperately need some general maintenance.

We are so grateful that ACE hotel gave us a queen bed when we booked a small room. The small room comes with a double or queen bed, but there is no way on the travelzoo site to request (so i had to call travelzoo and the hotel after booking). Thankfully the hotel was so accommodating! the lobby restaurant bar is so cool, and Stumptown coffee was so yummy!

Overall pretty good, fridge in room is nice, but the AC was basically nonfunctional so my room was hot the entire time. For this reason, wouldn’t recommend the hotel to others.

The hotel is very dark, the decor is off. It didn’t feel clean. The AC in the hotel broke all weekend, so it was sweltering. The furniture is tattered and the bathrooms were dingy. The caulking had mold.
