The BEST WESTERN Grosvenor Hotel is a Georgian building on a residential road, a short walk from Stratford-upon-Avon's main shopping streets, including Henley Street (Shakespeare's birthplace), Bridge Street and High Street, which is lined with black-and-white-timbered Tudor buildings and high-street shops.

Food is served in the Garden Room Restaurant, and drinks and afternoon tea are available in the Lounge Bar. During the summer, guests can sit outside on the terrace. Every Sunday there's a carvery from 12-3pm.

Bedrooms range from standard single, double or twin to family and executive rooms. Wi-Fi is free in all areas of the hotel.

The Avon Ring -- a 4-minute walk away -- is a canal ring that connects Stratford-upon-Avon with Evesham, Tewkesbury and Worcester, where you can walk by the canal through the park down to the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Follow Shakespeare's life stages, starting at his birthplace and childhood home on Henley Street. Discover Tudor courtship at Anne Hathaway's Cottage & Gardens, which is a 30-minute walk from the hotel, and is where Shakespeare courted his future wife. Explore the hay bale maze, see a falconry display or watch the farmer's wife prepare the home-grown food in the farmhouse kitchen at Mary Arden's Farm. It's a short drive outside of Stratford-upon-Avon, and was where Shakespeare's grandparents lived. Finish at Holy Trinity Church, where the Bard was baptised and burried.

Other attractions include Stratford Butterfly Farm, which has the UK's largest collection of tropical butterflies, and Stratford Town Walk, winner of the Tourism Initiative of the Year at the Pride of Stratford Awards 2015.

Warwick, Kenilworth Castle and the Northern Cotswolds are within a 25-minute drive of the hotel.

Enjoyed Most: central location, staff very willing to please, all very helpful
Other Comments: We would have had a drink in the bar on out return to the hotel, from the theatre, at 10.40, but the bar had already closed. Would suggest that the bar closes at 11pm.

Enjoyed Most: Nice, well furnished rooms. 20% discount on food and drink offered by hotel better than the Travelzoo deal of £10 off food.
Other Comments: Dinner good but too "fine dining". Compared with Best Western Tiverton, their dinner was much better value.

Enjoyed Most: Great hotel, in superb location. Really clean, pleasant accomodation. Would definitely use again.
Other Comments: The staff were lovely but it would have been easier if the bar staff understood the travelzoo deal I'd booked. Reception staff did- the issue at the bar was quickly sorted by a member of the management team.
