Ghyll Manor Hotel & Restaurant is a converted 17th-century timber-framed manor house in Rusper, a small village in West Sussex. It's set in over 40 acres of gardens with a private lake, a terrace with a dais and an old amphitheatre. Inside there is a blend of vintage and contemporary features, such as original beams alongside modern furniture.
Rusper, in the district of Horsham, has a village shop, a park, public tennis courts and two pubs. The countryside location is ideal for walking -- the 150-mile Sussex Border Path runs along Rusper High Street, close to the hotel. Nutbourne Vineyards, Arundel Castle and the National Trust's Wakehurst Place are all within 40 minutes' drive of the hotel.
Brighton, with its famous shopping area The Lanes, Royal Pavilion and Victorian seafront, is around 40 minutes' drive away, and the cathedral city of Chichester is within an hour's drive.
Guests can have drinks and afternoon tea in the conservatory or the Terrace Room, which has a large patio overlooking the gardens. The AA-Rosette-awarded restaurant serves classic dishes with an unfussy modern twist.
There are 29 rooms. Standard and Superior Rooms are in the modern Stable Mews in the grounds. All rooms have free Wi-Fi.
Note: The hotel is eight miles from Gatwick Airport, so there might be some aircraft noise.

There is no infant's cot/crib available. Children aged 3 and under stay free of charge when sharing parent's room and using existing bedding. Extra bed available on request and in Superior Room only: £30 per night for children aged 12 and under. This includes breakfast. Supplements are not included automatically in the total price and will be charged directly by the hotel.
