Rooms are some of the biggest in the area at up to 550 square feet, but views vary. Bathrooms have deep soaker tubs, rainfall shower heads and spa-quality toiletries, and beds are seriously luxe. Fees for Wi-Fi come with the territory at a place like this, but it's a lot spottier than it should be. 

The hotel celebrates its location in the museum district, next to the SFMOMA, with an impressive art collection, as well as free access for guests to the Museum of the African Diaspora. It's a great choice for couples, friends or business travelers, and not such a great choice for families who will find themselves in the minority here.
