A good overall experience, however we had some issues on the last day with a promised late check out. We were locked out of our room for about 30 minutes while trying to leave the hotel.
It is in a very good location and the room was nice. Service was mostly good, but we were given some wrong information about public transportation.

Valet parking was very backed up when we arrived to check in so it was a little chaotic figuring out where to leave the car. After about 20 minutes of circling the block we were able to speak with a parking attendant who assisted us. Had to leave the car parked on the street blocking the hotel entrance.

In town for a concert at Citizens Bank Park. This hotel is well located in downtown Philadelphia, but has access to the SEPTA metro only a couple blocks away, so perfect for a concert or Phillies/Eagles game.

Staff was friendly and helpful! Parking is expensive in the city, but your valet at the Sofitel is good till 4 the day of checkout and luggage storage is easy, so checkout and enjoy the city befor leaving town.

Great location, lovely spacious suite, super quiet, very clean, staff very accommodating. Only minor flaw was that they forgot to clean & resupply our room one day. Daily Urban Experience Fee a bit steep for basically water and coffee in room, the $20 credit allowed per day was helpful to offset that but felt forced to eat or drink at the hotel to get the credit, preference would be to have the DUEFee just covered by TZOO in their offer.

The location of the hotel was excellent, as it was conveniently close to many attractions and restaurants. It made exploring the city much easier and more enjoyable.I found the staff at the Sofitel Hotel to be very friendly and accommodating.However, there were a couple of areas that could be improved upon. The continental breakfast offered at the hotel was not up to the expected standard. The options were limited and the overall quality of the breakfast fell short of my expectations.
Additionally, I was disappointed that the housekeeping service did not visit my room during my four-night stay. Despite these minor setbacks, I had a wonderful time staying at the Sofitel Hotel. The positive experiences outweighed the negatives, and I appreciate the efforts made by the hotel staff to ensure a pleasant stay. The communication from the hotel was excellent, and it played a significant role in making my stay memorable.

Hotel is nice and well situated. My room was vast and comfortable. Although I was told my room would be made up every day, the maid service did not make up my room. I shared with the front desk around 5 pm and all they did was ask if I needed to replenish something. They did not offer cleaning. They left two bottles of water on my table. My valet cost was 63.00 not the 59.00 advertised. The folks at Liberte Lounge, especially Terrence and Tara , were awesome!

Overall our experience was great. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The morning coffee was a nice bonus. However it was not hot and no plates / napkins for danish.
Retrieving our cards from the hotel lot took almost an hour. There was a lot going on in the city Saturday which impacted this task. The staff was apologetic and fortunately we did not have a reservation we needed to make.

We were originally assigned a standard room despite paying for suite. A reservation email presented to receptionist straightened the matter out. We were misled about destination fee, only to learn later it didn't apply to us because we booked our room before it went into effect.

I do not like the practice of adding the resort fee- there are really no perks you are paying for. They offer a "walking French breakfast"? which is tiny pastries and coffee in the lobby if you can find it. Literally not even an apple or piece of fruit. Hotels should just go back to charging what they would upfront.

Very much appreciated staff giving us early access to check in. Took 3 calls to get sofa bed made up with soft feather mattress topper that is the Sofitel trademark. Without the mattress topper, the sofa bed in unusable with a thin camp mattress through which any guest can feel the metal bars underneath. The hotel is over air conditioned which is not just physically uncomfortable but environmentally irresponsible. Being told at check in there are scales inside the mini bar fridge so guests are not allowed to store their own food or drinks was a new low that I’ve never before experienced.

I loved this hotel. The staff were amazing and when I requested some additional items for my room they actually arrived! Rare these days. The rooms are spacious and luxurious. The location is perfect for shopping and great restaurants. I would stay there again when I return to Philadelphia.

When we returned to hotel after an evening out, the battery in the door locking mechanism had apparently “died” and our card key wouldn’t work. We called the front desk and maintenance (and security) came after about 15 minutes. It then took another hour before maintenance was able to get us into our room. We had to wait — in the hallway— at midnight until the maintenance staff person finally was able to open the door.
The following morning we contacted the manager and he agreed to a substantial reduction in our room charge which we appreciated but it was still an unpleasant experience and worrisome that it took such a long time to be able to get us back into our room and be able to go to bed.

It was an overnight trip to Philadelphia, the hotel was in a great location, lots of eating choices around and parking if you do not want to do valet. Room was wonderful. Clean , updated and comfortable.

This was a stay-cation for my BDay as we live in Philly. I traveled with my husband and my 3 year old son. Our stay in Rittenhouse was lovely and overall so was our stay -- But, the hotel seems to be used quite hard and is on the outdated side.

I have never been so disappointed with Travelzoo. I cannot hold Sofitel at fault since it was Travelzoo that dropped the ball. I could offer a multitude of suggestions that would have averted my situation but I'll leave you with the most important. During business hours, your telephone lines should always be monitored and/or answered.

We had a very nice stay. Room was spacious and well equipped. Breakfast restaurant was good. Housekeeping was a bit glitchy and room could use some updating. Still, we would stay again.

Came for a weekend with my cousin. The room was ready early so we could leave bags in the room, freshen up from our trip and embark on the city. Could walk everywhere we wanted to go (mostly museums, restaurants), although they were long walks.

Large room, well appointed. Excellent staff! Internet did not work for much of our stay. We had to spend a couple of hours working with their IT department to get internet working. Pillows and comforter were down. I am very allergic. They should give notice or provide non-down as standard.

From the moment we arrived the staff was wonderful…kind, friendly, willing to go the extra mile to makes feel welcome and let us know our business was appreciated. Room was quiet and well appointed.

Location is great, walkable to many Center City destinations. Room area of hotel very quiet despite being in the center of a very busy area. Staff was knowledgeable about the city, it’s attractions and transportation. I will definitely return!
