I dropped my luggage off at the front desk and went sightseeing. Upon arrival back to hotel I waited to my bag to be brought to me. After waiting over five minutes I told the front desk staff “im going to eat lunch, please bring it to me there when it arrives”. The luggage never arrived. I had to go up to front desk and ask a second time then wait additional ten minutes. Totally inefficient

I booked my reservation with Travelzoo. In my amenities it said continental breakfast included. I went to breakfast buffet the next day. When I arrived home there was a charge for over $34 for breakfast on my bill. I immediately called and spoke to four different staff members explaining the situation. They said no I wasn’t entitled to breakfast buffet. I politely asked to speak to a manager who then informed me that she wouldn’t remove the breakfast buffet charge for me. I then told her that I wouldn’t be returning to hotel to stay again and that I would dispute the charge with my credit card company. She then decided she would remove charge for me.

In town for a concert at Citizens Bank Park. This hotel is well located in downtown Philadelphia, but has access to the SEPTA metro only a couple blocks away, so perfect for a concert or Phillies/Eagles game.

Staff was friendly and helpful! Parking is expensive in the city, but your valet at the Sofitel is good till 4 the day of checkout and luggage storage is easy, so checkout and enjoy the city befor leaving town.

The location of the hotel was excellent, as it was conveniently close to many attractions and restaurants. It made exploring the city much easier and more enjoyable.I found the staff at the Sofitel Hotel to be very friendly and accommodating.However, there were a couple of areas that could be improved upon. The continental breakfast offered at the hotel was not up to the expected standard. The options were limited and the overall quality of the breakfast fell short of my expectations.
Additionally, I was disappointed that the housekeeping service did not visit my room during my four-night stay. Despite these minor setbacks, I had a wonderful time staying at the Sofitel Hotel. The positive experiences outweighed the negatives, and I appreciate the efforts made by the hotel staff to ensure a pleasant stay. The communication from the hotel was excellent, and it played a significant role in making my stay memorable.

Hotel is nice and well situated. My room was vast and comfortable. Although I was told my room would be made up every day, the maid service did not make up my room. I shared with the front desk around 5 pm and all they did was ask if I needed to replenish something. They did not offer cleaning. They left two bottles of water on my table. My valet cost was 63.00 not the 59.00 advertised. The folks at Liberte Lounge, especially Terrence and Tara , were awesome!

Overall our experience was great. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The morning coffee was a nice bonus. However it was not hot and no plates / napkins for danish.
Retrieving our cards from the hotel lot took almost an hour. There was a lot going on in the city Saturday which impacted this task. The staff was apologetic and fortunately we did not have a reservation we needed to make.

Daily Urban Experience Fee a bit steep for basically water and coffee in room, the $20 credit allowed per day was helpful to offset that but felt forced to eat or drink at the hotel to get the credit, preference would be to have the DUEFee just covered by TZOO in their offer.

We were originally assigned a standard room despite paying for suite. A reservation email presented to receptionist straightened the matter out. We were misled about destination fee, only to learn later it didn't apply to us because we booked our room before it went into effect.

I do not like the practice of adding the resort fee- there are really no perks you are paying for. Very much appreciated staff giving us early access to check in. Took 3 calls to get sofa bed made up with soft feather mattress topper that is the Sofitel trademark. Without the mattress topper, the sofa bed in unusable with a thin camp mattress through which any guest can feel the metal bars underneath. The hotel is over air conditioned which is not just physically uncomfortable but environmentally irresponsible. Being told at check in there are scales inside the mini bar fridge so guests are not allowed to store their own food or drinks was a new low that I’ve never before experienced.

It was an overnight trip to Philadelphia, the hotel was in a great location, lots of eating choices around and parking if you do not want to do valet. Room was wonderful. Clean , updated and comfortable.

This was a stay-cation for my BDay as we live in Philly. I traveled with my husband and my 3 year old son. Our stay in Rittenhouse was lovely and overall so was our stay -- But, the hotel seems to be used quite hard and is on the outdated side.

I have never been so disappointed with Travelzoo. I cannot hold Sofitel at fault since it was Travelzoo that dropped the ball. I could offer a multitude of suggestions that would have averted my situation but I'll leave you with the most important. During business hours, your telephone lines should always be monitored and/or answered.

We had a very nice stay. Room was spacious and well equipped. Breakfast restaurant was good. Housekeeping was a bit glitchy and room could use some updating. Still, we would stay again.

Came for a weekend with my cousin. The room was ready early so we could leave bags in the room, freshen up from our trip and embark on the city. Could walk everywhere we wanted to go (mostly museums, restaurants), although they were long walks.

Large room, well appointed. Excellent staff! Internet did not work for much of our stay. We had to spend a couple of hours working with their IT department to get internet working. Pillows and comforter were down. I am very allergic. They should give notice or provide non-down as standard.

From the moment we arrived the staff was wonderful…kind, friendly, willing to go the extra mile to makes feel welcome and let us know our business was appreciated. Room was quiet and well appointed.

Location is great, walkable to many Center City destinations. Room area of hotel very quiet despite being in the center of a very busy area. Staff was knowledgeable about the city, it’s attractions and transportation. I will definitely return!
