Start a stay at Club Quarters with a visit to the 27th-floor lounge, which opens to an outdoor terrace with skyline views typically only reserved for penthouse dwellers. From here you'll see that you're right across the street from Grand Central Terminal.
Grand Central Terminal opened in 1871 and exudes history from every square inch. Get lost in the beauty of bronze and stone carvings, triumphal arches and ornamental inscriptions throughout the terminal, and look up for a view of the constellation mural on the ceiling.
Rooms themselves are rather small, and better suited to business travelers than families. For the busy, the hotel has free Internet access and workstations with wireless printing -- even refrigerator stocking and garment storage between visits.
At Davio's Northern Italian Steakhouse on site, celebrity chef Steve DiFillippo presents handmade pasta, steaks and fresh seafood in a manner that earned him membership in the Massachusetts Restaurant Hall of Fame.
