Lonely Planet describes Amsterdam as "more easily experienced than defined". In the spirit of its city, the Corendon Vitality Hotel Amsterdam threw open its doors in February, 2015 to 200 guests -- before its official opening. These guests were allowed to experience the hotel as part of a practice run, and the hotel staff used the feedback to work out any kinks.
Just outside the city centre, in south Amsterdam, the hotel is close to public transport, making it easy for guests to travel to the city centre.
Facilities at the hotel include AY Restaurant, which serves Mediterranean cuisine, a fitness centre, a lounge with an open fireplace, a terrace and a bar. The Vitality Spa has a Turkish hammam, an indoor beach and a warmed relaxation area. The spa is also home to Vitality Bar, where you can buy power foods, smoothies, juices and a variety of salads and sandwiches.
The Bazar is a lobby shop that sells snacks and drinks and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The shop also provides to-go packages of snacks and juice for day-trippers.
Standard Double/Twin Rooms have a walk-in shower, a mini fridge and a safe for laptops. Free Wi-Fi is available.
The hotel is 3.6km from Van Gogh Museum. Schiphol Airport is 6km away.
