With just five rooms per floor and 63 rooms in total, the Ivy Boutique Hotel offers guests an intimate stay in the heart of Chicago. Situated on a quiet section of bustling East Ontario Street, this boutique hotel is walking distance to some of Chicago’s most popular attractions. Michigan Avenue is less than two blocks away. The John Hancock Observatory and the Museum of Contemporary Art are 10 minutes from the hotel by foot.

Sleek and modern, the decor features bold purple and gray accents against a stark white backdrop. Guest rooms have hardwood floors, dark marble countertops and white leather headboards. Bathrooms are spa-like with soaking tubs (with complimentary sea salts for a relaxing bath), walk-in rainfall showers and lighted vanity mirrors. Whether you are letting light in through the floor-to-ceiling windows or turning in for the night, the automatic curtains eliminate the hassle of wrestling with drape cords. Evening turndown service is a nice personal touch.

Grab a drink before a night on the town or unwind with a nightcap at the lobby bar, DiVine. Guests can also sip cocktails and nosh on small bites like truffle fries and braised short rib sliders at the hotel's Sky Terrace bar, located on the 16th floor (weather dependent; not open in late fall and winter).

Enjoyed Most: The bed was comfortable and the room was very spacious.
Other Comments: The hotel hasn't been maintained well. The design is decent, but the floors were warped, the furniture chipped and things looked like they hadn't be replaced or updated in a few years.

Enjoyed Most: Beautiful room, great shower, Tiffany was very nice and professional.
Other Comments: No air conditioning, and the phone didn't work.the beds were so low to the ground it was like sleeping on the floor.

Enjoyed Most: Small, quiet, intimate, it was just perfect.
Other Comments: The location is perfect, easy walk to sights, restaurants of any type. The rooms are immaculate, ultra modern. The TV inside the bathroom mirror didn't even seem gimmicky considering all the other techie gadgets.....automatic window coverings, radio for use with devices. They did turndown service with surprise treats and even provide umbrellas in the rooms for inclement weather. In Chicago the weather can change every 30 minutes!!

Enjoyed Most: The room was fantastic! We weren't expecting a suite and we loved that there were only 5 rooms on each floor. Very quiet. Great little details in a boutique hotel.

Karen Mar 28, 2016 Kenosha, WI, United States
Enjoyed Most: The location was great and the size of the room was a good value for the money.
Other Comments: Sometimes staff was hard to find. There was no one at the front desk when we checked in. After a couple minutes, someone appeared. Had to call for a bell boy and someone to valet our car at different times. No bartender available at the lobby bar so we did not get to use our $20 certificate for drinks because it wasn't open either time. We were offered juice instead. Is there a refund offered?
