Overview
A stay at the Winter Haven, Autograph Collection in Miami Beach provides equal parts relaxation and lively party vibes, located in a quieter, beachfront section of "SoBe" but within 10 minutes walking distance to the fishbowl margarita, Cuban street food, people watching heaven of Ocean Drive.
Small yet chic, all of the guest rooms feature contemporary Art Deco themed decor, and the chicness extends to high end toiletries, and modern technologies like free Wi-Fi, docking stations and Keurig coffee makers. Other freebies include bike rentals and a welcome cocktail at check-in, but the free beach chairs are notably lacklustre considering the quality of everything else. Those who prefer their lounging by the pool instead of the beach should take note: there is no pool here, however guests have access to the small pool at the sister property four blocks away.
The on-site restaurant is very good, serving upscale Italian fare, however it's tough to beat the surrounding dining options in this prime South Beach location. Views from the rooftop terrace however, can't be beat, so guests should be sure to plan for at least one drink here.
