Set in an early 20th-century palace, URSO Hotel & Spa is in the Alonso Martínez area of the capital city, which Time Out Madrid says is "where you go for charming shops, restaurants and cafés."
The hotel is across the street from the Barceló food market and a few minutes' walk from the trendy neighborhoods of Malasaña and Chueca as well as the boutiques of Calle Fuencarral. The hotel is also within walking distance of both Alonso Martínez and Tribunal Metro stations, making it a convenient base for exploring the city.
"Although it is in the centre of Madrid, a muted palette of cool green, grey and cream tones and delicate Japanese prints create an air of calm and discreet chicness," praises The Daily Telegraph. Black and white photographs of the city over the years are sprinkled throughout the hotel.
Facing the former gardens of Palacio Villagonzalo, Deluxe Rooms have big windows, marble bathrooms and free Wi-Fi.
In addition to a fitness area, there is a spa that offers facial and massage treatments using Spanish brand Natura Blissé at a supplement. The spa has three treatment rooms, a hammam steam bath and a hydrotherapy pool.
Breakfast is served until 11am. In addition to a buffet, hot food is prepared based on your wishes as there is no menu.
