Oldfields House is a Victorian property with "excellent views over Bath" (The AA) -- England's only UNESCO World Heritage City. The property mixes traditional features and modern comforts, and holds four AA Gold Stars, which are awarded to properties offering excellent levels of quality throughout and outstanding levels of hospitality.
The property is southwest of the city centre -- which itself is "nestled into the hollows of its seven enfolding hills" (Lonely Planet) and famed for its Roman heritage and Georgian architecture -- 15 minutes' walk from Bath Spa railway station and the Roman Baths.
Thermae Bath Spa -- Britain's only natural thermal spa, which offers visitors a chance to bathe in the historic Cross Bath or in the open-air rooftop pool -- is 15 minutes' walk away, and the Jane Austen Centre and Bath Abbey are 20 minutes away. A little further afield, The Royal Crescent and Bath Circus are eight minutes away by car.
Oldfields House boasts the iconic stone façade typical of the "honey-hued and historic Bath" (Lonely Planet). It has 16 ensuite bedrooms, and a dining room that overlooks the city, and serves up continental and full English breakfasts. There is a sitting room with antique furnishings in keeping with the character of the building, and also a lawn and an outdoor seating area. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
