Hotel was dated but I understand they will be going under a renovation soon. We had an outlet that didn't work and our refrigerator was full of overgrown ice. location was good. had to wait often for the valet attendant. Loved the location.

Rooms were clean and reasonably sized, necessary amenities were there. Not luxurious (two in the room therefore two bath towels, no extras, for example), no room service menu though the hotel said it had room service, and our room had two safes with the normal one broken and a second put on a high closet shelf. Very convenient to Georgetown, a bit away from the mall, but a great location if you can walk a bit to a large variety of great restaurants.

This was my first time as a tourist in Washington DC, so I really didn't know where to stay. Travelzoo's offer worked out perfectly! The area of Georgetown was a cross between business and residential. It was very convenient having a Walgreen's and CVS across the street. The room was very clean and well maintained. They gave us new towels everyday (3 night stay). The restaurant food was excellent even though they didn't have that many choices for breakfast. We asked for slight changes to their egg dishes and they were very accommodating. The front desk staff were very helpful and polite, and the person who worked the valet parking was quick to help. Even though valet parking is expensive, it's that way throughout the city.The location is minutes away from the Metro that takes you right to the Mall, about a seven minute walk. The hotel has a very small rooftop outdoor swimming pool which is good enough to cool off in during the hot summers, but not much else. Be aware, even though the hallways aren't really air conditioned well, when you get into your room you can feel relief from the hallway because it's very well air conditioned. I felt this hotel kept up to the HIlton name.

If you have the time, walk around the Georgetown neighborhood. it's quite nice. Most of Washington DC has very commercial/business like buildings, except for the Mall surroundings. Going in July can be hard if you can't take the heat, which I can't! Walking through the Mall was difficult for me due to the lack of shade. It's very open. The museums are great and may take more than one visit to see them all. Most of the federal buildings are closed to tours on Sunday. Also, for some of the museums you have to have timed tickets to see the main displays because they tell a story that you have to follow. When you refer to tour maps to get around, know that everything is much further than it looks! wear good walking shoes!

This was an annual trip w friends, including an 11 year old. Because of the price offer, I thought our rooms would be very small. They were a nice size, very comfortable, and well appointed. There was also a small pool on the roof. It was great to be able to cool down with a quick plunge in the 3foot deep pool after site seeing during a heat wave. We were across the street from a Ritz Carlton and near other hotels, but we were very satisfied with our hotel. Thanks, Travelzoo!

They overbooked the hotel and did not have a room for me the first night I checked in. They could not find a replacement hotel. They blamed you for overbooking, but I think it was them. I ended up calling a friend and begging for a place to stay. It was a terrible experience. They had s room for me the next 2 nights.
One elevator was also out of order for part of the stay.

We checked in very late due to delayed flights. Luckily there were no issues with getting to our room as we checked in online and had a digital key. Our issues started Friday morning. We were on the 10th floor. We waited for about 5 minutes for an elevator which never came. We took the stairs down and found out the elevators were not working. When we returned to the hotel following breakfast, we were told the elevators were still down. We asked where the stairs were and took the stairs to the 10th floor only to find that the internet was also not working so our digital keys to open our room doors also did not work. We then had to take the stairs back down 10 flights. Without WIFI, I was unable to get any work done which was very frustrating. Being there was no WIFI, we left the hotel for a while. When we returned, the elevators were still not working and we had to have an employee take us in the service elevator which meant going through the kitchen area of the hotel and the housekeeping service areas. The employee then had to take us to our room to let us in. Later that evening, 1 elevator was working again but still no WIFI and had to have staff member let us into our room. Only 1 elevator worked the rest of our stay. In addition, the pool chaise lounges were unusable. There were 3 lounge chairs and all 3 had the bases torn to the point you couldn't not sit on them without falling through. Not a great experience for wanting to enjoy the very small rooftop pool. We asked about any sort of compensation and were told there was nothing they could do. I travel quite a bit for work, and have never had this type of experience that lasted the entire stay.

The staff were pleasant, informative, the hotel and room were clean and comfortable. The hotel was located near several drug stores, plenty of restaurants and coffee shops, around 6 short blocks to walk to Georgetown. There was also a restaurant that was attached, we noted it was always crowded at night, very popular, but we only had breakfast there, which had a good selection. Enjoyable stay.

We had a great time. The location was unbelievable. We walked to the White House from our hotel. There are dozens of fun and upscale restaurants to choose from that you can walk to. The Metro is a short walk away. From there we went everywhere. Finally, the hotel’s valet parking is 24 hours a day. Leaving really early in the morning was no problem.

Hotel was great, location great too. I gave 4 star for location because it was hard to find where to park for valet parking because hotel is on 1 way street, it took me 30 min to finally find way to get to it. But overall it was a good experience.

The room was not cleaned on the last day, and the cleaner simply hung up the dirty towels on the rack. I called the front desk, and they put me on hold and never came back. I stopped at the front desk on my way to dinner, and they said that they would send up someone with clean towels, but they didn't. Also, a roach climbed up the wall behind me in the dining room. I can't believe that this is a Hilton.

Room wasn’t very clean and told they wouldn’t provide cleaning services unless scheduled in advance. Instead of telling me amenities just told me all the things they didn’t offer. Parking was insanely high and recommended parking at the Ritz down the road (because it was cheaper)—ridiculous! Not very well suited for families with kids. Asked for hot chocolate or herbal tea k-cups, they acted clueless why anyone would want that. Stuck is in a room right by the elevator with no view.

Our stay at the Hilton exceeded my expectations and was fantastic! The location was outstanding, the staff was super friendly and the room was awesome! A nearby parking garage was reasonably priced and easy to access, over the $50 valet parking. Hotel needed better upkeep; carpets in public areas needed vacuuming. Our bed linens were very old. Staff at reception wasn’t welcoming. Never greeted us when returning from the day. Just a Blah experience. Room was fine; had been updated at some point. Our room didn’t have a sitting chair which annoyed me but I didn’t let them know when I was there. The most important reason why I wouldn’t return is the location. Our first time in the West End and it is lacking on restaurants and bars. Chef Geoff’s in the hotel was nice but expensive- scrambled eggs and toast was $18. We could walk to Georgetown which helped.
