Hotel Felix near Cambridge is a Victorian villa, built in 1892 as a family home. It's been transformed into a chic hotel with 52 bedrooms and an award-winning restaurant.

The 2-AA-Rosette Graffiti Restaurant overlooks the terrace and gardens. "Like the décor, the food is vibrant and sets off along a modern British road with plenty of sunny Mediterranean flavours," says The AA Restaurant Guide 2016

Rooms are individually designed with a traditional decor and big beds are dressed in soft white Egyptian cotton sheets and feather duvets. The Felix King Rooms are situated on the ground and first floors of the hotel. All are ensuite and come with fluffy white bath robes. All bedrooms apart from one have walk-in showers and a bath.

The centre of Cambridge is a 12-minute drive or taxi ride away. There is plenty to do in the city. The Fitzwilliam Museum houses over 500,000 historic treasures and art from 2500 BC until the present day, including work from Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt and Picasso. The cobbled Market Square is a must -- there's a market every day, where you can buy everything from books and garden plants to fresh fish and health foods. Alternatively, try a Cambridge Sculpture Trail starting from the Tourist Information Centre -- the three routes give you the chance to see around 60 sculptures.
